Seasonal financing is offered to grain growers in order to finance the necessary funds during the season – fertilizers, seeds, plant protection products, fuel and other expenses related to farming activities. The financing is provided in cooperation with the grain trading company SIA Elagro Trade and the concluded grain supply agreement serves as collateral for the loan.

Repayment of the loan occurs in the fall after the realization of the harvest. When the farmer has delivered the grain to SIA Elagro Trade, in accordance with the concluded grain agreement, the grain trader withholds the farmer’s obligations to AgroCredit Latvia from the purchase fee and transfers it to the lender on the basis of offsetting.

Seasonal financing for grain growers is a conveniently accessible form of financing, which is usually available without additional collateral.
